Tachibana no Ujikimi (橘氏公)

TACHIBANA no Ujikimi (783 - February 1, 848) was a court noble during the early years of the Heian period. His grandfather was TACHIBANA no Naramaro and his father was TACHIBANA no Kiyotomo.
He was known as the Ide no Udaijin (Minister of the right of Ide)
TACHIBANA no Kachiko, who became Emperor Saga's wife, was his younger sister (some argue that she was his older sister), and his younger brother was TACHIBANA no Ujihito
His son was TACHIBANA no Minetsugu.

In 810, he was awarded authority for shoden (access to the imperial court), appointed Kurodo (Chamberlain) in 814 and promoted to Jugoinoge (Junior Fifth Rank, Lower Grade) in 815. Thereafter, he served as Kurodo no to (Head Chamberlain) and Kunaikyo (Minister of the Sovereign's Household), and in 833, he was promoted to Jusanmi (Junior Third Rank) and appointed Sangi (Royal Advisors). In 844, he was appointed Udaijin (minister of the right) and further promoted to Junii (Junior Second Rank) in 845. In 847, he died at the age of 66, and was posthumously awarded Juichii (Junior First Rank).
